Friday May 2nd, 2008, Tom Rodgers and I were invited to perform in Jewett TX as the opening act for Shake Russell. Larry and Virginia Robertson host the House Concert and it was a lot of fun! We recorded with the assistance of Scott Serafin (sound engineer). Shake gave me permission to record him as well, and agreed to be a guest on my show. That’ll be on a future show. Show #8 is Tom and I playing for an enthusiastic crowd…and a train about every 15 mins.
P.S. Shake Russell went to the Texas Music Awards Show in Palestine TX the next day (May 3rd) and won both Vocal group of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.
